Tenants Right To Manage

The Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 permits tenants of a block containing flats to acquire the management functions of their leases to give them control over repair and maintenance, insurance and approvals.

If you are a tenant we can assist with determining whether the block qualifies, setting up the RTM company and exercising the right. Although the process is designed to be a no fault, cost effective way to give tenants this right, in practice it is quite complicated as the procedure must be followed exactly. Following acquisition of the right we can assist with practical information about who can insure, give consent to alterations or assignment or forfeit leases.
