Peter heads the commercial litigation department and has a significant 32 year career specialising in commercial litigation matters and is co-chairman of the International Litigation and Arbitration Group of the global legal network Consulegis.

He has extensive knowledge of dealing with complex High Court and County Court litigation matters and often acts for overseas clients on complex, cross jurisdiction issues.

Peter’s specialist areas include:
• Shareholder and Partnership disputes,
• High value professional negligence claims involving solicitors, accountants and other professionals (Peter is a member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association)
• Banking disputes,
• Disputed contract and debt matters involving significant sums or seeking other non-monetary remedies important to his clients, and
• Disputes involving property, boundaries, landlord and tenant issues, construction and dilapidations.

Peter’s career highlights have included taking over a multi-million pound ongoing six year shareholder dispute relating to a family business in which he achieved a favourable settlement within 19 days and, more recently, following a three week trial, successfully defending a complex and multi-faceted shareholder/partnership dispute where several million pounds were at stake and his client was accused of fraud and other serious financial breaches.

Richard is Head of Trusts and Estates and oversees our Shrewsbury offices. He has been a private client specialist since 1997 and advises a broad range of clients, with a particular emphasis on high net worth individuals, land owners and farmers. Richard is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) and specialises in:

• Estate planning using Wills, trusts and lifetime giving
• Probate and the administration of estates, specifically complex and high value estates
• Tax planning
• Trust administration
• Issues affecting the elderly

Richard holds a large number of appointments as executor, trustee, attorney and Deputy.

Analise qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and had over 10 years post qualification experience in property law when she  joined SLC in 2012 as an assistant solicitor in the then relatively new property department.  She was promoted to  head of property in 2015 and deals with a mixed caseload, with particular specialisation in landlord and tenant law,  lease extensions, right to manage  and enfranchisement; as well as providing training courses  and developing the direction of this growing department.

Analise enjoys the varying challenges of her role and regularly receives  positive client feedback on her ability to explain issues clearly.

Jeremy joined SLC at the end of April 2014 and has been a qualified solicitor since 1990. He has undertaken civil litigation work throughout his career, specialising in property litigation since 2002. Jeremy was a Partner at a large general practice in Chester where he worked for over 20 years before moving to SLC in order to undertake specialist property management work which is what attracted him to SLC.

Jeremy is head of the Litigation Disputes Team and manages a team of 7 lawyers and support staff dealing with defended cases and more complex disputes. Jeremy undertakes more complex fee earning work and supervises and manages the work carried out by the members of his team, as well as dealing with new enquiries and other administrative and management duties. Jeremy’s role is important in ensuring that high standards are maintained, cases are dealt with as efficiently and professionally as possible, and that clients’ interests are best protected.
